⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ Finding a mechanic you can truly trust is rare, and Rustbelt Automotive & Diesel has absolutely earned my business for the long haul. They replaced my right rear upper trailing arm and my starter, and somehow replacing the starter even solved an air conditioning problem I’d been dealing with for two months. I honestly wasn’t expecting that, and it was a huge relief to finally have my A/C working again. No more eating lunch in a hot truck. What impressed me just as much was how they took the time to answer questions I had about work another shop had recently done. They explained everything clearly, never made me feel rushed, and gave me honest advice instead of trying to sell me things I didn’t need. They also pointed out a few items that will need attention down the road, and when the time comes, they’ll be the ones doing the work. Their prices are more than fair, but it’s the honesty and quality that really stand out. I have friends who are mechanics, and I know plenty of backyard mechanics who would probably do the work for a little less. IDK what happened to my original review but here it goes again! I own a 2012 Acadia, had just over 103k miles on it. I knew I’d have to replace stuff, it’s old. I first came to this shop when it first opened June 2025. WOMAN OWNED! Yes, you read that right. I had work done at a shop down the street and I was still having issues. That’s when I found Rust Belt. I will not take The Beast anywhere else! Walked in, Cindy the owner was awesome. Not only did she validate my concerns, she went above and beyond and explained everything that was wrong with my car from front to back, top to bottom. Gave me a list of what needed to be replaced and what was the priority. I know computers, not cars. She dummed it down for me so I understood. I have gotten all work done on my car since going there. Cindy and her crew are the only ones to touch my car. Obviously when you see the work I’ve had done below, you’ll be able to see that the rates are great. That’s another reason why I am a returning customer. I hated my headlights on my car. Old, foggy and yellow and I wanted to replace them. Cindy said we could have them reglazed. Whether you get an oil change to anything bigger Rust Belt Automotive and Diesel is a great place to go near Slavic Village. The owner Cindy will have one of her technicians inspect your vehicle closely and make sure everything is done properly. I had oil changes done here, gasket replaced on my engine, spark plugs replaced and my brakes, rotors and calipers replaced. In case of a failure there are a few months that your repairs are guaranteed under Warranty. In my case the manufacturers parts have failed and I have had the problem fixed at no charge. Cindy and her team are a very fair team of people that will have your problems taken care of at a very fair price point and will even provide a ride to and from their Mechanic shop for the customers convenience. I am very glad that this mechanic shop exists and will come back many more times again when I have any other car issues to take care of. I recommend it for anyone else looking for a good place to stop by and have your vehicles worked on. - Piotr (Peter) Slomczewski

My car sat for 1 month I called Cindy at Rust Automotive on 71st (Previously Dale and Bob’s) My son got my car there last night at 8 pm (they’re open till 8pm Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights) They contacted me to let me know what they found and followed up today to let me know What the total cost was. I let her know I would have to find a way to come get it. She said no, you don’t. We’ll come get you.They checked everything, my tires, even washed my front window and had my car all warmed up for me! Talk about service, they are really nice people to deal with and go above and beyond, It’s hard to find that kind of Customer Service these days anywhere, but not there! Thanks Cindy and Ryan! Welcome to the neighborhood!
